The first picture I ever saw of Artie on the breeder's website...
He slept all the way home that day.
In true Ashley/Chase fashion,
we had a photoshoot planned for that night,
so while we had it all set up, he had his first photoshoot.
He discovered the TV at an early age and would only
drop his 'Wubba' when something good caught his eye.
In our old house we didn't have a dishwasher,
so he would fall asleep on my feet while I washed dishes.
We discovered that he loved to watch
The Office one night while a marathon was on.
After going to the vet and getting his first shots. Yeah...he milked it.
Sometimes his bangs look like the Grinch.
His first snow was a BLAST.
Sink baths were almost a daily thing for a few months!
If it wasn't mud from wrestling with his best friend and neighbor
Boo, it was poop which was a long gross period in our lives.
His first haircut.
The makings of his halloween costume as Rob from 'Rob & Big'.
It didn't happen last year, but it will this year! (His shirt says Run DMC.)
Right before our new furniture arrived, he discovered that
he likes to lay like this on the arm of the couch and pass out.
He's definitely not a morning dog. Every morning he crawls
into Chase's warm spot and glares at me as I get ready for work.
Yep, that's a cigarette. He likes to find random things to take back inside with us after
a potty break. On this particular day, he couldn't have gotten it
more right if he tried. (Which I think he might have. He's just that smart.)
We like to call this his signature porn pose. When he's resting on
the back of the chair and we call his name, he gives us this
smokey-eyed look. We think he's pretending to be a model.
Every now and then, he gets fluffy enough to actually resemble the
Caesar dog food model. We've also decided that a lot of photoshop
goes into making that dog look so fluffy and so white.
Whenever it's time for a bath, I always sing "Artie's gonna
take a bath" to a tune I made up. I always find him huddled somewhere
in a corner with his ears slicked back. He acts like it's a punishment and so the
running fit afterwards is my punishment.
There you have it. His whole life in pictures. It's been one crazy
funny journey and we've loved *almost* every minute of it!
