Plastic Veggies and Cardboard Boxes

Ok boys let's go potty.

Good job Bosley. Can Artie go peepee?

Ok Artie, Juliette sees you, no go potty!

Good job Bosley, go poop. Can Artie go poop?

No, Artie - leave the bell pepper alone.

Good boy Artie, go poop.

No Artie, don't you touch that cigarette.

Let's go boys. Say bye bye to Juliette.

No Artie, we don't need that moth either.

This has been an excerpt from my daily routine with the boys...

With the impending move underway, I'm feeling very reflective about our time in the City. This morning as I was taking the boys out for their morning potty time, I started thinking about how their lives were about to change and they don't even know it. For example, Artie will no longer be able to bark up to Juliette's balcony every day to see if she'll come out and look down on him while he potties. (The dog's name isn't actually Juliette, but she and Artie have had this love/hate relationship going since we moved in.) If she's not on the balcony when we leave, I may have to go knock on the guy's door so that Artie can bark at her one last time. As I tripped over the newest plastic vegetable that was thrown down from the 3rd floor balcony, I thought about how I wouldn't have to watch out for those when taking the boys out in the dark anymore. (Almost every day, a ping pong ball, or plastic veggie, or even an action figure gets thrown down from the 3rd floor.)

The second half of this post's title refers to the many boxes I need to collect and fill over the next few weeks. We are slated to move in to the new place on June 15th and be out of our home here by June 30th. I, being the crafty planner that I am, have decided that I will pack a box a day and send it with my hubby to store in the studio until move day. It sounds like a great plan to me. Let's just see how that works out! Now if only I can find the right amount of stuff for each box instead of filling them to the point of not being able to lift them off the floor. LOL
