In bed at 9:00...

Could life get any better? I submit that it cannot! (Brian Regan reference...check him out!)

Today was a monumental day for me at work. After 6 years with my office (most of which I've been the office manager), today they FINALLY gave me an office!! With four walls! I've been living the cubicle life since 2004 and let me tell you - I've done my time! No privacy, people hanging out at my desk to be entertained, nosy people checking out my screen, etc. etc.

I renewed my request for an office on my 6 year anniversary. I have asked for the past few years but the answer was always the same. And very true to how life works, just as I gave up hope, I get the news that it was happening!! I made the request for my counterpart also, so she got the surprise too!!

I've spent all day moving computers from one office to another (6 moves total). I crawled on the floor, moved printers, CPU's, monitors, dealt with all those tangled cords, and waded through all the dust. It is going to be soooooo worth it. Needless to say, I'm very tired and sore. Maybe one day I'll tell y'all about all my back issues...let's just say I shouldn't have done any of that stuff today. Well except maybe the dust wading. That requires no back power in and of itself!!
